Places to Visit in Jaipur


Amber Palace: Amer, originally, was the capital of the state before Jaipur. It is an old fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. This fort is also very popularly known as the Amer Palace. The Amer Fort was built in red sandstone and marble and the Maotha Lake adds a certain charm to the entire Fort.

Jaigarh Fort: The Jaigarh Fort, located on one of the peaks of the Aravalli range of hills is built about 400 m above the Amber Fort.Jaigarh Fort was a centre of artillery production for the Rajputs. It is now home to the Jaivana – at the time of its manufacture in 1720, it was the world's largest cannon on wheels of the Early Modern Era.

Nahargarh Fort: Nahargarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Nahargarh Fort was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II as a royal retreat.

Gatore ki Chhatriyan: Majestic, intricately carved stone monuments are the highlight at this royal crematory.Gaitor in Jaipur with cenotaphs and memorials is at the foothills of the Nahargarh Fort.

Monkey Temple: Monkey Temple (Galta Ji) is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site in the town of Khania-Balaji, about 10 km away from Jaipur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Albert Hall: The Albert Hall Museum is a museum in Jaipur in Rajasthan, India.When the foundation stone of Albert Hall was laid during the visit of the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward to Jaipur in 1876, it had yet to be determined what use it would be put to.
