Places to visit in Delhi

Red Fort: The Red Fort or Lal Qila is a historic fort in Old Delhi, Delhi in India that served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned construction of the Red Fort on 12 May 1638, when he decided to shift his capital from Agra to Delhi.

Chandni Chowk: In the heart of Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk is a busy shopping area with markets full of spices, dried fruit, silver jewelry and vivid saris, while the narrow side streets are crowded with tiny shops selling essential oils, stationery and traditional Indian sweets. Nearby, the vast Mughal-era Red Fort now houses a museum complex, and the 17th-century Jama Masjid is a huge red-sandstone mosque with towering minarets.

Jama  Masjid: The place is situated at Old Delhi Part. Is one of the biggest mosque in India. Shah Jahan's last architectural extravagance, the Jama Masjid towers over Old Delhi and is India's largest mosque.

Humayun Tomb: Its a Mugal Arciture bulding. Humayun's tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi, India.

Qutab Minar: The Qutub Minar is a towering 73 meter high tower built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1193. The tower was built to celebrate Muslim dominance in Delhi after the defeat of Delhi's last Hindu ruler. This tower is the highest tower in India, complete with five storeys and projecting balconies.

Lotus Temple: The temple is built in the shape of a floating half open lotus set amidst pools and gardens. This temple has no idols of any God. The Lotus Temple is the only Bahai temple of worship in Asia. It attracts about 4.5 million visitors in a year.

Akshardham: Swaminarayan Akshardham is a Hindu temple, and spiritual-cultural campus in Delhi, India. The temple is close to the border with Noida. Also referred to as Akshardham Temple or Akshardham Delhi, the complex displays millennia of traditional and modern Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture.

Raj Ghat: The memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. A black stone platform in an open air complex marks the spot where Gandhi was cremated. A flame constantly burns at one end of the platform and visitors are required to remove their footwear before they enter Raj Ghat.

Parliament House: The Parliament House or Sansad Bhavan is one of the most impressive buildings in Delhi. Located at the end of Sansad Marg the Parliament Building was designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker.
